// REPORT
MK12 Mod 0 — First Blood
First time running the MK12 paired with the scope. Zeroed the rifle and immediately put up a sub-MOA group at 100 yards — exactly what you want to see on a first session. Glass is exceptionally clear and easy to use right out of the box. Running 62gr AAC 5.56 FMJ for now but the MK12 is going to want 77gr to really perform — that's the next ammo purchase.
BCM 16" M4 — Confidence Builder
Second or third time out with the BCM. It continues to impress — super accurate, zero issues, and the PLx is as clear as advertised. Looks as good as it shoots. Another confidence-building session on a rifle that's quickly becoming a staple.
FN PS90 SBR — First Run Since Stamp
First range session with the PS90 since receiving the SBR stamp. Ran it suppressed using the suppressor from the Geissele MOD 1. Result: impressively quiet. Ran well overall but the zero needs work — currently dialed in for very close range and needs to be re-zeroed running the can. Running FNH SS197S 5.7x28mm.
DSA SA58 FAL IBW — First Range Session
First time shooting the SA58 and it did not disappoint. The 7.62x51mm hits hard and the rifle is more accurate than expected right out of the gate. Shots from 50 to 200 yards were easy and consistent. A lot of fun to run — this one earns its place in the collection immediately.
Geissele MOD 1 11.5" — Lancer Mag Extension Test
Out to test the new Lancer mags with 6-round extensions. Had one failure to feed early in the session — attributed to a dirty rifle rather than the mags. Added CLP and it ran smooth for the remainder. Will need another outing with a clean rifle to fully clear the mags.
PSA 8.5" .300 BLK SBR — First Session Since Stamp
First range session since the SBR stamp came through. Ran well overall. Zero needs adjustment — currently swapping the suppressor between this and the JAKL using different adapters, so POI shift needs to be accounted for. Notably smoother to shoot with the stock versus running it as a pistol. Good first outing.
PSA GF4 AK-104 — First Session Since Stamp & Issue Found
First range session since the SBR stamp. Ran into what appears to be a trigger and safety lever issue — likely a compatibility or wear problem. New trigger and milspec safety lever are going on order. Will be back on the range once parts arrive and fitted.
Glock 19X — Stress Drills
The 19X got the most trigger time of the session. Ran a handful of drills on targets focusing on accuracy and precision under stress. Handgun got the lion's share of the round count. Running Magtech 115gr 9mm FMJ. Solid session on the pistol.
// NOTES
Heavy ammo day — 62gr AAC 5.56 FMJ across all 5.56 rifles. Need to source 77gr for the MK12. AK-104 parts on order. PS90 and .300 BLK zeros need dialing in with their suppressors. Lancer mags need a clean-rifle retest.
